Step into Deadfall — a 10 × 10 km DayZ map that blends pure survival mechanics with a structured escape quest. Your ultimate mission: cross the river into the Passage and secure your exit — if you live long enough.

Quest Progression & Gameplay Flow

  • Funnelled spawn & risk: Players randomly spawn across the west (green) side with minimal clothing and scarce supplies. Loot quality improves the closer you get to the river crossing.
  • The Chokepoint: A pipe beneath the river leads to the Passage. It’s a PvP hotspot—expect traps, ambushes, and tension as gear becomes better post-crossing.
  • Essential gear: To enter the Passage, you’ll need a gas mask + filters (not necessarily a full NBC suit), and a reliable light source—headlamps break and are rare beyond this point.

Inside the Passage & Maze

  • Three entry points, each marked with a tented entrance and a switch-activated door. Sounding the door alarm draws zombies and other players.
  • Labyrinthine corridors & dark tunnels: Poison gas blocks the first corridor. Inside, looting and navigation require care; a single misstep can lead you into enemies—or rival survivors’ camps .
  • Keycard exit quest: You’ll need to find and assemble two halves of an old key . One half often comes from dynamic helicopter crash sites in the snowy/cold zone. The other spawns inside the maze or castles.
  • Maze finale & the Maker: Once inside the maze, locate the teleporter that transports you into a pitch-black underground laboratory. Search there for the second key half and high-tier loot like designated rifles or DMR. Activated teleporter returns you to castle walls—use the combined key to access the final zone, where the Maker weapon awaits.

Threats Beyond Zombies

  • Expect more than just shamblers: Skeletons, skullspiders, wraiths, and miniboss-style threats in castles and passage environs increase the difficulty in elite loot zones.
